It's been a little over a year since I started this blog. Looking back over my entries it's obvious that they have become fewer as time goes on. So I wondered, why is that? Which leads me to my confession...I have been swayed by that little voice that whispers "That isn't worth writing about. Don't even bother. No one would find that interesting. That wouldn't make sense. What do you know?" And on and on. Do you know that little voice? It seems no matter how much encouragement I get, it is still there. I post an entry and wonder "Should I just delete this?" I have thought about getting rid of the blog all together. But today I am choosing to listen to other voices. The voices of encouragement I have received. And the voice of my Father telling me to quit worrying about pleasing others and to remember why I started this in the first bring honor to Him. I am choosing to face my insecurities and continue to share whatever is on my heart, along with passing on some of the wisdom I'm learning from others. I am committing to post at least once a week. And I am telling that little voice to Shut Up.

Hi Jeanette,

Aunt Bonnie here. Having trouble making a comment to you, but wanted to say that you definitely have a calling to encourage all of us who read your have a gift for writing. The little voice that tries to discourage you, of course, is that bad old satan. And he is worried because he knows his days are numbered. He wants to get rid of all God's workers (like you) so that people will not get the encouragement they need. And you know, you might just be writing something that somebody NEEDS at that moment. God is using you to be his messenger. Keep it up, little Jeanette. You are doing a wonderful blessed thing.
